This is more than just a site to buy a 3D printer
Its a place you can come to get free information in order to learn more about 3D Printing, and why you should be adopting it in your industry or incorporating 3D printing in your classroom
Shropshire 3D Print LtdI set up Shropshire 3D Printers to be a Midlands-based service for business and education so that 3D Printing would be more accessible to more businesses and more schools across Shropshire and the surrounding counties.
When I came to the industry, there was a huge amount of hype surrounding the 3D print industry, and so I wanted to ensure I differentiated my company from others, emphasising on local service and reliability.
Why Shropshire?
Well, I live in this beautiful gem of a shire, which is located in the heart of the country and more relevant, it was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, and 3D Printing is the next industrial revolution.
Traditional manufacturing techniques are detractive, that is to say, the process takes a material, and to make that material into the required product /shape, material is removed. An example of this it turning a chair leg on a lathe. 3D Printing is a misnomer and actually the process is more correctly called Additive Manufacturing. This process can be used for either Rapid Prototyping, which saves manufacturing companies massive amounts of time and money, or with higher level machines using different technology, making working parts.
